Phillies fans are highly anticipating the opening of their new
Citizens Bank Park. This ballpark will be filled with many
features that the fans will enjoy. One of the many attractions is
Ashburn Alley. Ashburn Alley will be dedicated to Hall of Famer,
Richie Ashburn. In Asburn Alley there will be several things for
the fans to enjoy. There will be a statue of Ashburn running the
bases (which will be located at center field where he played).
There will also be Memory Lane which will include memories of
Phillies, Philadelphia A's, and the Negro League teams in
Philadelphia. Memory Lane will end with a viewing area where fans
will be able to see both bullpens. Also in Ashburn Alley there
will be Bull's BBQ, Scoreboard Restaurant, Rooftop Bleacher Seats,
and merchandise enhanced concessions. Asburn Alley will open one
hour before the ballpark's gates open.
Also during the game, seen all through the stadium will be the
Home Run Spectacle. In this home run show, whenever the Phillies
hit a home run, the Bell in right-center field will light up and
jingle. Outside the stadium there will be statues of many Phillies
greats and the entrance gates will be easily accessible to all
fans. There is also a part of the stadium where the Philadelphia
center city skyline can be seen. Also in the ballpark there will
be McFadden's Restaurant & Saloon, premium seating areas,
Phillies team store, and a special viewing area.
Citizens Bank Park will be a great new home for the Phillies
and their fans.
